Opponents of mining might chafe at the old saying “if it can’t be grown it has to be mined.” But it is absolutely true. Simply stated, we need to use the Mining Law as it is now written to reduce burgeoning imports and restart a program of strong domestic exploration and mining. The economic health and national security of our nation now depend in large part on increasing hardrock mining, to increase our domestic critical minerals supplies - to reduce our troubling and growing reliance on China, Russia and third world dictatorships, many of which are allied with or dependent on China and Russia. Indeed, our nation “boasts” a growing list of groups that are openly hostile to extractive industries, especially mining. Over the past 50 years, the United States has ignored and even shunned the importance of its mineral wealth like no other country in the industrial world.Īustralia, Canada, Sweden, Russia, China and most other industrialized economies value their mineral resources and use them to their defense and economic benefit, and even for geopolitical advantage. ![]() 5/9/2023 0 Comments The Servant by Robin Maugham![]() ![]() A duplicate copy f the page with no wikimarkup.LGBT studies Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies Template:WikiProject LGBT studies LGBT articles For more information, or to get involved, please visit the project page or contribute to the discussion. Please feel free to express your disappointment with any unfinished series, but let’s keep it to series only. I know the situation with Brandon Sanderson finishing off Wheel of Time was somewhat different in that Robert Jordan died – but would you ever consider allowing another author to finish off your work if you lost interest in something? Ruthįirst things first: no bashing of any authors in the comments. I’m most interested in what your views are on whether an author should allow someone else to finish a series if they lose interest in it. The most obvious example of this is George RR Martin and his Game of Thrones books – which I very much doubt he’ll ever finish since he’s obviously lost interest and wants to write Wild Cards books instead. However, fans often feel that they have somehow bought books on the basis of a misrepresentation by the author that they will get the “end of the story”. At the end of the day an artist’s work is their own and if they don’t want to write further books in a particular series they don’t have to (unless they are under contract to a publisher I guess). I’d be interested in your views on the concept of authors giving up on series without completing them. ![]() ![]() ![]() )Īll told I really liked “Fangs” and I kind of want more of those two super sweet little monsters! *lol*Įlsie’s a vampire and Jimmy’s a werewolf and they’re girlfriend and boyfriend and hilarity ensues and waffle waffle… Yes, the author might exploit a lot of clichés here, but she did it in a fun way and truth be told this only added to my enjoyment. It was on point and caused me to smirk whenever they did something “typical”. So I think “sequential art” might be the most accurate description here and I noticed that a lot of reviewers already put it in that genre which is great! =)Īs for the story itself: I loved it! Elsie and Jimmy are so adorable and I loved the black humour. Because of this the pacing is pretty fast and it seems like they jump right into their relationship and push the “fast forward” button instead of taking it slow. This was no story with a central theme but rather little snippets of Elsie’s and Jimmy’s story that starts when they meet in a bar. So first things first: I know this is titled as a webcomic, but I think this might not be the right description for “Fangs”. I mean a relationship between a vampire and a werewolf? It sounded interesting and I decided to investigate. ![]() This said, I found this on tapas and was immediately intrigued. ![]() ![]() This is me speaking from the webcomic rabbit hole. ![]() 5/8/2023 0 Comments Skyward brandon sanderson![]() But being Cytonic is more complicated than she ever could have imagined.
